Founder & Principal, MGR Advisory
Max Rubinstein is a licensed CPA and the founder of MGR Advisory. He began his career at Ernst & Young, where he built a foundation in complex financial analysis and client advisory work. He later joined Blackstone, where he was immersed in institutional-grade financial structures at one of the world's leading investment firms.
Max went on to serve as Controller and CFO for a privately held real estate owner and operator in New York City, overseeing financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning across a growing portfolio.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master's of Science in Taxation from Hofstra University, where he graduated among the top of his class.
Max is known for his organized, detail-driven approach, clear communication, and ability to turn complex financial information into practical business insight. Originally from Long Island and now based in New York City, he is active in the local Jewish community. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling, and spending time with his wife and dog. He is also a lifelong Yankees fan.
